Acceptance of Terms
By using the Image2Cal application ("app"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our app.
User Responsibilities
- Account Creation: If your app requires creating an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Content Upload: You agree not to upload any illegal, offensive, or infringing content, including images or data that violate the rights of others.
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when using the app.
- Review of Calendar Results: You are responsible for reviewing extracted, generated, edited, and search results before relying on them or adding them to a third-party calendar.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the app for personal or commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the app for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain access to the underlying code of the app
- Distribute harmful content or malware
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of your information. By using our app, you consent to the data practices outlined in the Privacy Policy.
Calendar Data and AI Processing
To provide calendar extraction, assistant, and semantic-search features, Image2Cal may process the images, files, and calendar event details you provide or save. For new or changed saved events, we may send event fields such as title, date, time, location, and description to AI service providers, including OpenAI and, where configured, Vercel AI Gateway, to create semantic-search representations. We may also send a limited source excerpt and extracted event fields to JevModel.org or TypeSafe AI to identify details that need review. Our handling of this information is described in the Privacy Policy.
We may also send event details and the text of messages or feedback you write to TypeSafe AI, a decision-model provider, to check results and route requests.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service at all times.
AI-generated and semantic-search results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. You should verify event details before relying on them for personal, professional, medical, legal, financial, travel, or other time-sensitive purposes.
The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Image2Cal is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app.
Image Data
We store images uploaded to our service in cloud storage for the purpose of generating calendar events. We also store the calendar events you save and, for new or changed events, semantic-search records used by the in-app assistant. See the Privacy Policy for details about retention and deletion.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Image2Cal and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Montgomery County, Maryland, USA.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
